Large sewage treatment plants require a continuous and economical bacterial dosing program to maintain stable biological activity throughout the year. Evobac STP Bulk Powder has a different formulation as compared to our regular products. The bulk formulation is a cost-effective bacterial culture designed for Municipal STPs, CETPs, township STPs, and other medium to large sewage treatment plants handling more than 1 million liters of sewage per day (1 MLD +). Its concentrated microbial formulation is designed for scheduled maintenance dosing every three - six months, helping maintain consistent biological performance while reducing the operating cost of large treatment facilities. The prime focus of this formulation is to reduce aeration requirement (lower DO) and save on operational costs.

Evobac STP Bulk Powder is an economical formulation suitable for routine preventive dosing across large treatment volumes without increasing treatment costs.

The product contains a blend of beneficial bacteria capable of rapidly multiplying in sewage and maintaining an active biomass. These microbes efficiently digest organic pollutants, improve biological stability, support sludge health, and keep large STPs operating consistently despite changing influent conditions. Frequently asked questions

  • Will my STP become dependent on bacterial culture?
    No. Bacteria in Evobac STP do not produce antagonistic chemicals. So they do not harm your existing microbial culture. As a result, you do not become dependent on the product and do not need frequent dosing. Evobac STP supports and replenishes the natural microbial population already present in sewage. 
  • Can this product recover a poorly performing STP?
    Yes. The product will improve your plant performance. However, if you are dealing with a severe problem, significant loss of MLSS, or a biologically upset system, our technical team will recommend a suitable recovery program.
  • Will it affect the existing bacteria in my STP?
    No. The bacteria in Evobac STP integrate with the existing biomass and strengthen the biological population. They do not harm beneficial microbes already present in the system.
  • Do I need to modify my STP process before using it?
    No. The product works with your existing biological treatment process. No equipment modifications or process changes are required.
  • Can I reduce aeration after using this product?
    The product works optimally with DO (0.5 - 1 PPM). However, we recommend that you continue operating the STP as per the design and operating guidelines for your system for at least 1st month of dosing. Most of our clients report a 30% reduction in air requirements, saving on utility costs and extending pump life. However, the cut down in air requirement happens gradually over a month. 
  • What if my STP receives shock loads or variable sewage quality?
    Yes. The bacterial formulation is developed to tolerate normal fluctuations in sewage characteristics (20 to 30%). For repeated toxic shocks or major process upsets, our technical team can recommend additional dosing if required.
  • Can the product be used along with other wastewater treatment chemicals?
    Yes. It can be used with standard wastewater treatment chemicals. Kindly refer to the SOP for more details.
  • Does Evolon Biotech provide technical support after the purchase?
    Yes. Our support continues after delivery. We assist your operating team with dosing guidance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring whenever required.
